CSER projects are supported through the NSERC Collaborative Research and Development Grant Program. CSER projects therefore must conform to requirements set by NSERC. Projects are jointly developed by the university investigator and the industrial partner. Following review by the CSER Steering Committee projects are submitted to NSERC with an endorsement from CSER. CSER involvement can be beneficial at the drafting stage especially with respect to identifying synergies with the current CSER research program. The industrial partner must become a member of CSER. The total membership fee is used to secure matching funds from NSERC. CSER research agreements have been carefully drafted to reflect the interests of the participants and satisfy NSERC guidelines for intellectual property management. CSER can also help a company locate the required technical expertise in the university community. Inquiries should be directed to the CSER Research Director or CSER Operations Manager. |
